Scampagnata – September 23 – Lake Sonoma

SCAMPAGNATA – Sunday, September 23 1:30 to 5:30 pm,
Lake Sonoma Warm Springs Recreation Area, Poker Flat #2 Picnic Site
$30 for members, $35 for non-members, $10 for children under 12.

Pack your picnic baskets, bring a plate, fork, glass and napkin but leave
the food at home! Scampagnata, a picnic or outing in the countryside is a summer tradition in Italy.  This will be a joint event with Slow Food Sonoma County North.

Together we will dine on crostini appetizers, enjoy grilled rosemary chicken and garlic bread, green salad, pasta salad with roasted vegetables and apple desserts. For this event you may BYOB. Cold water will be provided. Appetizers begin at 2:00, Sunday Supper will be served at 3:00.

The Visitors Center and Fish Hatchery will be open for you to tour. We’ll be nearby in the main picnic area, Poker Flat #2 with covered shelter, wheelchair access, restrooms and plenty of parking. Look for the NBICF and Slow Food signs, colorful tablecloths, vases of flowers and Italian music! Don’t forget your place setting. Dishes, glasses, napkins and silverware will not be provided.

This is your picnic in the country, so pack that part in your picnic basket along with your
wine or other beverages. Cost for this event is $30 for members, $35 for non-members, $10 for children under 12. There are a limited number of tickets available as the space holds only 75. Deadline for reservations is September 15.

Join friends and family for our Sixth Annual Pizza, Birra & Vino party. All you-can-eat pizza
night dining al fresco. Join friends and family for our Sixth Annual Pizza, Birra & Vino party. Dinner includes antipasto, salad, pizza, dessert and complementary wine or beer. This event is limited to 60 guests. Price: $25 members, $30 non-members.

Santa Rosa Junior Scholarship Program – NBICF offers several annual scholarships to promote Italian-inspired and Italian Language studies. Three $500 scholarships to students of Italian 1, 2, 3 or 4 will be awarded for the Spring Semester 2018. Additionally,  the Marianne Pedroncelli and the Jeanette Mancini-Mitchell Scholarships will be awarded this Spring. For information and application procedure, visit the Scholarship page.
